“We have decided to install a table permanently and we agreed to work together for peace in the country”, said Miranda state governor Héctor Rodríguez during the delivery of 1,780 new homes built by the Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela.

He explained that during the day of political debate held in Barbados, based on the six thematic axes established in Norway, led a joint commitment to join efforts in the search for alternative mechanisms to overcome differences in democracy.

“In the peace dialogue, we reaffirm the absolute will of the Bolivarian Revolution to build an agreement that manages conflicts through peace and democracy”, said Rodriguez from Urdaneta municipality, located in Miranda state.

He indicated that although the dialogue process will not be easy, since it requires strategic patience and will, it is possible to establish a scenario of governability and mutual respect.

“I have the perception that the political parties of the country can reach an agreement of democratic coexistence, peace, governability and where we recognize and respect each other”, added the leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

Rodriguez said that despite the violent agenda promoted by extremist sectors of the Venezuelan far right, the government delegation listened carefully to the aspirations, reflections and requests of the opposition, demonstrating the will to conquer a climate of stability in the nation.

Regarding to the preliminary balance of the peace talks in Barbados, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that the parties involved will remain active at the dialogue table, guided by the desire for peace.

“I believe in dialogue, in peace diplomacy, in peace to recover. With peace everything is possible, without peace nothing would be possible”, he stressed.

The Head of State, who has made nearly 600 calls for national dialogue, recalled that the new day of talks resulted from an initiative sponsored by the Government of Norway, the country that hosted the first round of dialogue last May.
