The Government of the United Mexican States has ratified its position of non-intervention, absolute respect for the sovereignty of States and non-interference of the internal affairs of any country or people of the world, much less of Latin America.

“We reiterate that we are not going to break diplomatic relations with Venezuela”, said the Undersecretary for Latin America of the Government of Mexico, Maximiliano Reyes Zuñiga, during the preparatory meeting of the Lima Group.

The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Mexico issued a statement on 7 November 2018 regarding the caravan of Central American migrants passing through Mexico to the United States. The US President Trump had threatened the migrants while the social democrat government of Mexico had taken a moderate attitute seemingly not to offent either side. The CP of Mexico denunciated the Mexican government’s attitude representing the interests of monopolies trying to take advantage of the situation while showing a humanitarian face.

The Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) strengthened their bilateral relations during the 6th Congress of the PCM convened in Mexico City in August. On September 1, the two parties issued a joint statement treating actual political developments and the situation of the international communist movement.

Dear Comrades,

The Workers Party of Ireland sends warm comradely greetings to the Partido Comunista de Mexico (PCM) and to all participants in the 6 th (VI) Congress of the PCM taking place in Mexico City on 3-5 August 2018. The WPI sends its solidarity and support to the PCM, recognising the very difficult conditions which it faces in theconditions of capitalist crisis and political repression, corruption and violence, including disappearances, assassination and murderous attacks against communists and other progressive forces.

Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) sees a recomposition of the bourgeois hegemony in Obrador's election for presidency.

After Andrés Manuel López Obrador declared his victory in the federal elections in Mexico, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Mexico issued a declaration on July 4. Despite Obrador's demagogic discourse of "national unity" - which is supposed to transcend class antagonisms as an "inter-class" option - the PCM underlines that the power of the monopolies is assured by this result and that the bourgeois class dictatorship will continue.

The overwhelming electoral victory of Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the presidential elections in Mexico, is a firm statement from the people of that brotherly country of their desire to make a great change of course through politics and ballot boxes. It is about eradicating the scourges that Mexicans have long suffered, particularly from decades of the application of neoliberal policies that comes with corruption, inequality and social injustice, poverty, the denial of rights for native peoples, unbridled violence, the surrender of its foreign policy and the riches of the country.
