The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its solidarity to the working class of Pakistan for the two separate accidents which took place in southwestern Balochistan province of Pakistan and cost the lives of 23 miners. The WFTU expresses its sincere condolences to all the families, friends and relatives of the miners who have been murdered at their workplaces trying to earn their livelihood.

These accidents are not neither isolated nor random events. The mine accidents are happen very frequently both in Balochistan and the whole country of Pakistan. The new ones accidents, verify that the bourgeoisies’ blooded hunting of profits is not compatible with the covering of the working class interests, not even the most fundamental ones such as the safe and dignified working conditions are.

The World Federation of Trade Union continues its long-term struggles for health and safety at the workplaces. The International class oriented trade union movement, jointing its voice with the workers and the trade union movement in Pakistan, demand the immediate implementation of adequate protection measures at all the workplaces of Pakistan.
